Josef Rosch
Werner is the man behind the wine. A former soccer star, he keeps in shape by regularly scaling his rugged, insanely-steep vineyards in order to meticulously maintain them. He is as consistent and reliable as a German automobile. You can depend on his ability to make classic middle Mosels year in and year out regardless of vintage conditions. These racy, vibrant Rieslings are a mirror of his contagious energy. Our most reliable work-horse-of-a-wine is the Leiwener Klostergarten Kabinett, which we have been buying yearly since 1997.
