Robert König
Robert König has been making Pinot Noirs for a couple of decades on the majestically sloped vineyards above Assmannshausen in the Rheingau. He is an eccentric fellow who makes traditional, old-style Pinots of considerable finesse and elegance. He's not out to impress people or win medals for his wines. He's just very down-to-earth, and makes consistently solid, drinkable Pinots that are the purest expressions of his steep, rocky vineyard sites.
